Collectors' Collective
Antiquorum's joint efforts with Tourneau yield new resources for timepiece
aficionados
Auctions are the centerpiece of a joint venture designed by Antiquorum
Auctioneers and watch retailer Tourneau to expand their markets in the U.S.
The venture's first timepiece and jewelry auction was held May 11 in
New York, NY. Others are scheduled this month in New York City and later
this year in Hong Kong and Geneva.
Other plans include invitations to consumers to bring their timepieces
to Tourneau on certain days for a complimentary appraisal by Antiquorum.
And for retailers and consumers, Antiquorum and Tourneau plan to present
seminars, lectures, a horology book publishing program and Internet auctions.
The companies say that as they expand their customer base, retailers
and manufacturers should benefit from the expanding consumer interest in
fine timepieces and horology.
