Diamonds are Trumps
Diamond-shaped window helps Michigan jeweler double his sales
Sami Boudiab calls it the biggest diamond-shaped window in the world
and no one is arguing with him. When Boudiab built his new jewelry store
last year, he wanted a window that would make his logo absolutely unmissable.
He was inspired, he says, by the giant logo-window on the headquarters
of another Michigan company Chrysler Corp. And while Boudiab's window
isn't quite as big as Chrysler's, it is pretty impressive, measuring 15
feet high and 12 feet wide.
The new 2,000-sq.-ft. store (he leases an additional 1,500 square feet
to an eye surgery company) is just a block away from Boudiab's old one in
Saginaw. Boudiab says the new location and new window have caused sales
at the store, Diamonds & Jewelry Unlimited, to double. And all with
no advertising, he points out. The window is the only ad he needs.
A huge diamond-shaped window is an architectural feature
of the new Diamonds & Jewelry Unlimited store in Saginaw, MI.
