Diamond-shaped window helps Michigan jeweler double his sales

Sami Boudiab calls it the biggest diamond-shaped window in the world and no one is arguing with him. When Boudiab built his new jewelry store last year, he wanted a window that would make his logo absolutely unmissable.

He was inspired, he says, by the giant logo-window on the headquarters of another Michigan company – Chrysler Corp. And while Boudiab's window isn't quite as big as Chrysler's, it is pretty impressive, measuring 15 feet high and 12 feet wide.

The new 2,000-sq.-ft. store (he leases an additional 1,500 square feet to an eye surgery company) is just a block away from Boudiab's old one in Saginaw. Boudiab says the new location and new window have caused sales at the store, Diamonds & Jewelry Unlimited, to double. And all with no advertising, he points out. The window is the only ad he needs.

A huge diamond-shaped window is an architectural feature of the new Diamonds & Jewelry Unlimited store in Saginaw, MI.
