Stamp of Approval
When it comes to receiving promotional messages, consumers like old-fashioned
mail more than new-fangled e-mail or fax
Say what you like about snail mail, it's still the del-ivery system consumers
prefer for receiving promotional materials. A study conducted by National
Family Opinion Research, commissioned by Pitney Bowes Mailing Systems, showed
people find mail not only the least intrusive but also the most secure method
of getting all kinds of communications.
The researchers asked consumers to rank by preference five delivery systems.
First-Class mail came in first, followed by Standard mail, overnight delivery
service, fax and, least popular of all, e-mail.
