U.S. Watch Exports Fall in 1998

Watch exports from the U.S. dropped 14% to 6.7 million units in 1998. The total value fell about 8%. (The following chart offers a more detailed look.)

More watches were exported to Switzerland, but declines in sales to Japan, Hong Kong, Germany and Canada tipped the scale.
