Time for All
Tight competition generates strong fall debuts
Consumers need only enter a jewelry store that carries a few full watch
lines to see there's something for every wrist or pocket. Debuts at this
year's Basel and Geneva fairs, some shown here, display that variety.
Trends include wider use of fine dials, tighter water resistance and
stronger bracelets, even in moderate price ranges.
Whether it's titanium, pocket watches, high-design or high-tech, you'll
find more vendors offering a greater choice of timepieces this year.
