Sensuous Curves

Refined jewelry designs give diamonds an interesting twist

These thoroughly modern motifs mix high-quality metalsmithing techniques and aesthetic gratification. With slightly bent metal, designers create spirals that wind and unwind, moving toward then away from the center, allowing each diamond to catch light from all angles.

These styles are assertive, unusual and may not be for every woman, say many designers. "This is jewelry for a woman who chooses and decides on her identity and the details surrounding her," says Stefan Hafner, president of Stefan Hafner Designs, Bologna, Italy.

Leopoldo Poli, president of La Nouvelle Bague, Firenze, Italy, agrees. "It works for women who are truly demanding and knowledgeable, capable of distinguishing rare and courageous products amid the vastness of this industry," he says.

Show these to your customers who are always in search of something different – throw them a curve. They'll understand these sensuously spiraling designs are what's just around the stylistic bend.
