Precious Metals & Bench: New Products

Grow for the Gold

Bold, bulky styles return, but in more relaxed and playful designs

The scale of gold jewelry is growing. big sections with cutouts, spaces and outlines show there's no limit to what can be done with larger jewelry. These designs have personality and are open and playful. "Being a wallflower has come to an end. Luxury is back, and people want to have fun with jewelry that makes a statement," says Rachel Silber, marketing director for Silber's Inc., Houston, TX.

These new bold pieces should complement many styles already in consumers' jewelry boxes. "They have accumulated an eclectic collection from the '60s, '70s and '80s," says Silber. This jewelry provides a great stylistic opportunity for customers daring to mix the past with the present.
