Preview the latest in watch design and technology

This month these brands will show off their newest models at the world’s major watch shows in Geneva and Basel, Switzerland.

In case you’re not attending, here’s a sneak preview of what each brand will offer at the shows and through sales representatives later this year. Look for more debuts here in the next few months.

Gucci enters the new decade with slender feminine styles. The new Gucci 3905 features a case made of openwork stainless steel, a Gucci signature clasp, sapphire crystal and sunray dial.

The Type XX Transatlantique 3860ST alarm watch is made of steel and features date with date corrector and a rotating satin-finished black disk with marker for setting the three-way alarm. The automatic movement includes an 18k gold rotor and is numbered and signed.

Cartier adds a large date display to its fashionable Pasha C. The all-steel watch features an automatic movement, cabochon crown and satin-finished, flat-link bracelet.

This tonneau model, shown in two sizes, is the latest addition to Jaguar’s Capri collection. The Swiss-made watches have a polished/ brushed surgical-grade stainless steel case and bracelet, spring-release deployant clasp and choice of dial colors. Suggested retail, $495.

Rado polishes the scratchproof ceramic bracelet on its Ceramica Platinum, which features a titanium clasp and sapphire crystal. Three sizes are available for $1,390 retail; a four-diamond version is $1,590.

The open-work automatic Sesame is one of the first designs from the new Hermès watch manufacturing facility. It has a clear sapphire crystal and case back and a handmade leather strap. Retail prices start at $3,400 for the steel model. Also available in gold.

Hamilton introduces the Khaki Action Rhodium. The rhodium dial has gray-framed numerals coated with “superluminova,” which retains light for five hours. The watch is available in 12 styles – including quartz, quartz chronograph and automatic – and comes with a sapphire crystal and flip-down crown lever protection. Suggested retail, $195-$395.
