September 2003 Timepieces/News Longines Donates Audrey Hepburn charity gets check Longines Watch Co. presented a check for $200,000, the final check in a $700,000 donation, to actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, the Audrey Hepburn Cares Team ambassador at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in June. The presentation symbolizes Longines’ commitment to Hepburn’s dream that each child deserves the basic dignities owed to every human being. Hewitt, the newly appointed ambassador of the Audrey Hepburn Cares Team, also received a timepiece from the limited collection “A Heart for Children,” a Longines DolceVita watch with diamonds framing a mother-of-pearl dial with a diamond-set heart. – by Michael Thompson
