Blue's not new anymore in watch faces, says Mirabella – white is right. A page devoted to white and mother-of-pearl faced watches shows them accented with white metal or white leather straps ingeniously wrapped around pieces of chalk - not a bad display idea to try.

The white look reflects a desire for pureness and simplicity, says Nicola Bulgari, chairman of Bulgari. The company's round timepiece shares the page with an array of watches to fit all price ranges, from a white Cartier tank to a sporty Swatch.
