Slinky mesh metal, evolving from the medieval look in silver to new designs in yellow gold, undergoes a revival in jewelry, mostly due to a new interest in chain mail gowns by designers such as Donatella Versace and Alexander McQueen. The highlight in In Style magazine shows long dangling earrings, wide bracelets peppered with beads and crystals, and massive collar necklaces of metal links. Among the designers immersed in mesh: H. Stern, Simon Sobie, Swarovski, Celia Landman and Elsa Peretti.
