October 24, 2001

Small jewelry continues to get the attention of the consumer press, and in October's fashion magazines, charms are hot. The October issue of Harper's Bazaar features small rings and necklaces with swinging pendants. The jewelry shown in Harper's "Top Drawer" includes: a Cartier gold-and-diamond pendant; a platinum-and-diamond charm by Cynthia Wolff; a gold-and-diamond ring with dangling charm by Victoire De Castellane for Doir Joaillerie; a gold-and-diamond pendant by Janis Savitt; a Harry Winston diamond-and-platinum pendant; a Hermes gold-and-diamond ring; a Chanel diamond-and-gold ring; and a gold-and-diamond pendant necklace by Paul Morelli.

October's Vogue takes charmed jewelry into the luxury category. It features an 18k gold charm bracelet from Louis Vuitton with charms representing a luxurious lifestyle. Some of the charms shown include an Alma handbag in gold and onyx, a white-gold airplane and a globe with blue enamel oceans.
