Designers Speak at MJSA Designer Day

The third annual Designer Day, an all-day jewelry business conference sponsored by Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America, will be held March 26 at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

Moderated by Cindy Edelstein of The Jeweler's Resource Bureau, a jewelry designer consulting firm that partnered with MJSA to create Designer Day, the eight-hour seminar will include two panel sessions and six workshops. Speakers include Jose Hess, Paul Klecka, Lisa Jenks, Robert Lee Morris and other jewelry designers discussing such topics as establishing a cohesive business presence, running a designer manufacturing business and turning design ideas into a collection.

Lynn Ramsey of the Jewelry Information Center will moderate a panel of fashion editors, who will discuss how they choose the jewelry for their fashion spreads.

The seminar is open to anybody interested in the jewelry design industry. The attendance fee is $75. To pre-register contact Heather Clarke at MJSA, (800) 444-MJSA, ext. 3040 or e-mail
