Jostens Adds U.S. Jobs
School ring manufacturer Jostens Inc. of Minneapolis, MN, said last week it will make all of its youth and college rings at three existing U.S. facilities and end ring finishing at its factory in Mexico.
Jostens will perform ring fabrication and finishing at factories in Attleboro, MA, and Denton, TX. A third Jostens operation in Princeton, IL, will perform finishing tasks on some rings made in Denton. The consolidation will be complete by May 1.
The company will add about 200 seasonal positions in Attleboro and 35 seasonal positions in Princeton. The number of Denton employees is expected to remain the same, although some managerial positions may be eliminated, the company said. Qualifying employees among the staff of 200 in Nuevo, Laredo, Mexico, will receive severance packages.
