Piaget and Rado Name New Presidents in U.S.

Watch manufacturer Rado and luxury watch and jewelry firm Piaget, both based in Switzerland, recently named new presidents for their U.S. operations.

Robert J. Filotei was appointed president of Piaget's jewelry and watch operations in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean on Feb. 22. He formerly headed Cartier's wholesale division for nine years. The appointment was made as Piaget finalized its move to the Vendome Luxury Group from its former U.S. distribution base at Movado Inc.

Rado, part of the Swatch Group, appointed Andy Kessler president of its U.S. division to replace Dennis Phillips, who left last fall to head Ebel's U.S. operations. Kessler has served as marketing and sales operations manager at Rado's U.S. office since transferring from the Swiss office about two years ago.
