Michael Anthony Completes
Town & Country Acquisition

Michael Anthony Jewelers Inc. this week acquired all intellectual property and sample lines from Town & Country Fine Jewelry Group and folded the lines into its portfolio.

Michael Anthony, Mt. Vernon, NY, bought the Town & Country and Verylite names, all trademarks and copyrights, molds and sample lines from Town & Country, the Chelsea, MA-based manufacturer that filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last month. Michael Anthony also bought Town & Country's New York City and Dallas offices, which the company will close, and some equipment.

The lines are available as part of Michael Anthony's collection, says Senior Vice President and Treasurer Mike Paolercio. Bobby Hochberg, the company's new senior vice president of sales and merchandising, will head up sales of the Town & Country line, Paolercio said.

In a separate deal, Michael Anthony sold the Town & Country feature and bridal divisions to Stuller Settings of Lafayette, LA. Existing Town & Country inventory was acquired by Gordon Bros. of Boston, MA.
