Jewelers Help Hurricane Victims

Retail jewelers in states affected by Hurricane Floyd can get help through two hotlines set up by jewelry associations. The hotlines will accept donations from manufacturers and retailers and take requests for aid from affected jewelers.

Organized by A.J. Sales, president of the Kentucky Jewelers Association, with assistance from Mike Streeper, executive director of the Florida, Georgia and Tennessee Jewelers Association, the hotlines will accept offerings of items such as extra showcases, displays and packaging material or jewelers' tools. To offer donations or to request assistance, contact A.J. Sales, (800) 949-5675, fax (270) 443-7069, ajsales@kwhs.com; or Mike Streeper, (888) 243-3252, fax (813) 988-5837.
