Report: Jewelry Shows Little Potential On-Line

Jewelry, furniture and food show less hope of taking off as hot commodities for on-line shoppers than some other categories, says a report on e-commerce to be released this week by a British consulting group.

A study by Retail Intellegence predicts items that already sell well on-line, including software, cars, electronics and flowers, will continue to flourish. The report also named clothing, toys, sporting goods and household appliances as categories with potential for success in e-commerce, according to Reuters.
