JCF Raises $2.4 Million, Fundraising Continues

The Jewelers Charity Fund for Children already has raised $2.4 million for 2001 in its annual Facets of Hope fundraising campaign. Though fundraising for the campaign doesn't end until the Facets of Hope Dinner on June 3, JCF has exceeded its fundraising goal and last year's total of $1.7 million.

JCF's Facets of Hope Dinner recognizes and celebrates the charitable work being done by the jewelry industry on behalf of children with catastrophic illnesses. The dinner will honor Arthur. E. Reiner of Finlay Fine Jewelry Corp. and Stanley C. Pollack of G.M. Pollack & Sons. Industry members can support JCF by purchasing tickets for the Facets of Hope Sweepstakes – prizes are $10,000 and three trips for two and the drawing will be held at the Facets of Hope Dinner.

JCF is a non-profit organization created to unite the philanthropic efforts of all members of the jewelry industry. Money raised by JCF primarily goes to charities that benefit children. Last year, JCF donated more than $1 million to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

Jewelers can provide additional fundraising help by joining the canister program and putting a fundraising canister in their stores. For more information, contact Pattie Light at (703) 433-0308.
