Raff Joins J.C. Penney
J.C. Penney Company Inc. announced Tuesday it hired Beryl Raff to be senior vice president and general merchandise manager of fine jewelry. Raff was previously chairman and CEO of Zale Corp. until she resigned in February.
"Beryl Raff is a retail industry leader who brings to J.C. Penney a balanced blend of merchandising instinct and analytical sharpness," says Vanessa Castagna, executive vice president. "She has an established track record for creating aggressive business growth through strong merchandise strategy and innovative approaches." Beginning May 21, Raff will report to Charles Chinni, senior vice president and general merchandise manager of home and fine jewelry.
J. C. Penney Co. is one of America's largest department store, drugstore, catalog and e-commerce retailers and operates approximately 1,100 J.C. Penney department stores in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Mexico.
