Watch Trends at JCK Show
Many more watch manufacturers at this year's JCK Show in Las Vegas offered models sporting colorful gel straps with crystals or diamonds on bezels and cases. The trend began at the mid-range to higher end last year and has been taken in earnest by firms with watches in all price ranges notably those under $250.
Bright colors also shine from nearly every new ladies sport fashion piece, with gel, colorful resin or rubber bracelets, leather and satin straps. Diamonds or crystals, often colored versions of either, are now a must for any women's watch line. For men, large cases with increased emphasis on open-back automatics continues.
At least 10 new Swiss or German watch manufacturers debuted lines for fall sales in the U.S. One major launch included Germany's Junghans, which widened its U.S. offerings with light-powered, radio-controlled watches a first in the U.S.
