Industry Event to Donate Proceeds to Disaster Relief
The Jewelers 24 Karat Club of Southern California announced it will donate all money raised by its annual fall dinner dance to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, the Salvation Army Relief Fund and the New York City Police/Fire Widows and Orphans Fund.
The money is raised through raffles and ad sales for the event's Tribute Book. The 24 Karat Club is asking industry members to donate items for the raffle or purchase ads in the book. It extended the deadline for advertising through Sept. 25 and will produce ads free of charge. For ad rates and information call (949) 498-5530 or fax (949) 498-1043.
The dinner dance will be held Oct. 13 at the Beverly Hills Hotel & Bungalows. This year the club is honoring Robert W. Bridel, executive director of the American Gem Society, with its Excellence in Service Award. A limited number of tickets and tables are still available. The 24 Karat Club usually donates the money raised by this event to the City of Hope, a medical research center and hospital.
