PGS Offers Support for Relief Effort
Professional Gem Sciences announced it will donate $3 per stone graded from Sept. 11 through Dec. 31, 2001 to the American Red Cross in support of its relief efforts in New York City and the Washington D.C. area.
"The American Red Cross is dedicated to saving lives, easing suffering and restoring hope at home and around the world," says Myriam Tashey, cofounder of PGS. "Like everyone in the U.S. and abroad, I have been severely moved by the images shown last week, as well as the call for donations from the American Red Cross to fund special resources and personnel."
PGS is an independent laboratory for the study and grading of diamonds and color gemstones with offices in Chicago and Los Angeles.
