A Fund in Memory of Robert Speisman
Lazare Kaplan International Inc., New York City, has set up a charitable fund called "Bobby's Buddies" in memory of Robert Speisman. Speisman, executive vice president at LKI, was among those passengers killed on the American Airlines flight that crashed into the Pentagon on Sept. 11.
Speisman coached children's basketball and soccer teams, and because of his appreciation for kids in general, LKI is directing the fund towards athletic projects aimed at helping kids with physical or emotional needs. "Children and sports are the two things he loved," says Marcee Feinberg, an LKI official who worked with Spiesman.
Speisman is survived by his wife, Rena, and three children.
Fund contributions may be sent to: Bobby's Buddies, P.O. Box 78, Irvington, NY 10533.
