Basel National Pavilions to Zurich in 2003

To meet demands for increased exhibition space for watch and jewelry manufacturers in Basel, the Basel World Watch and Jewellery Show's exhibitor committee agreed to place all "country pavilions" at its Zurich location in 2003. This includes most companies that exhibit in Basel's Hall 3 under a national grouping. Most are non-branded watch and jewelry manufacturers. The pavilions of Hong Kong, Germany, the United States, Italy, France, Switzerland and other countries will be included in the move to Zurich, but the pavilions will remain in Hall 3 for the 2002 Show.

The new arrangement allows companies to increase exhibition space in Zurich – something that isn't possible in Basel due to demand. In addition, companies grouped in country pavilions will pay less in Zurich for exhibition space and their employees and customers staying in Zurich will have generally lower hotel and shipping rates.

Show officials will provide continuous transportation via bus, train and limousine between Basel and Zurich. In addition, the Zurich portion of the event will be promoted throughout the Basel Show.
