Andre Agassi Sues Rolex

Tennis pro Andre Agassi says Swiss watch manufacturer Rolex used his name and image in television ads without his consent. On Feb. 22, Agassi filed suit against the watchmaker in federal court.

One broadcast named in the suit appeared in 2001 and showed a Wimbledon match between Agassi and Australian Patrick Rafter. Another ad appeared in 2000 and also used Agassi's likeness and name without his authorization, according to the suit.

Rolex is a Wimbledon sponsor.

Rolex Director of Communications Martha Webster says the company does not comment on ongoing litigation.
