New Cartier Head in U.S.

Stanislas de Quercize will become president and CEO of Cartier Inc. U.S. effective June 15, replacing Alain Viot. Viot will become director of business development for Cartier parent company Richemont at its office in London.

De Quercize is known to many U.S. retailers from his period as head of the U.S. division of Montblanc from 1994 to 1997. He most recently was president and CEO of Cartier France and directed the international marketing efforts for Alfred Dunhill in London prior to that. He was named U.S. president of Cartier shortly after Richemont announced several other group changes in mid-March.

In other Cartier news, Martin Gatins was named vice president of its wholesale division.

There are 30 Cartier stores in the U.S.
