The American Salon Show to Debut in Las Vegas in 2003

A new exhibitor-run jewelry show, The American Salon, will be held in Las Vegas next year at the new Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The center is attached to the Mandalay Bay and Four Seasons hotels. The show, which will be limited to 750 exhibiting manufacturers, is scheduled to begin on May 28 and run through June 1, 2003.

The show management team is headed by Edward Coyne, an industry consultant who drew up the concept of the original Las Vegas show, and Andrew Kohler, president of A.B. Kohler, a jewelry industry advertising agency in business since 1980. Coyne and Kohler, who are also both members of the Twenty-Four Karat Club of the City of New York, formed a strategic alliance with Professional Jeweler and the magazine's business team will contribute marketing, sales and operations expertise to the new show. Professional Jeweler also recently announced it was canceling its show this fall.

The aim of the show, say the organizers, is to provide an elegant, comfortable environmentof a manageable size that features retailers¹ top industry suppliers. All important product categories will be represented by quality exhibitors in all price ranges.
