Bulgari Moves to Basel in 2003

Bulgari, one of the world's largest luxury goods firms, will exhibit its jewelry and watches at Basel 2003, moving from the Geneva space it used for several years. Joining Bulgari will be watch brands Daniel Roth and Gerald Genta, which Bulgari purchased three years ago. Previously, the brands displayed at the same time as the Richemont Group's Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva, though in differrent location and not as part of SIHH.

At Basel Show 2003, scheduled for April 3-10, the trio will display in Hall 4, previously home to "related industries" such as machinery, tools and supplies. Bulgari itself will set up a two-story exhibit featuring a dramatic central staircase. Daniel Roth and Gerald Genta will be adjacent. The entire area will have its own entrance within the hall.

Also moving from Geneva to Basel in 2003 is Philippe Charriol, which in recent years also held separate displays during the SIHH, according to Basel Show Manager William Devine. The space was made available largely due to the Basel Show's recent inclusion of a large exhibition hall in Zurich as part of the 2003 event. The various country pavilions will display in Zurich, a response to the demand for space in Basel.
