New Design for DPS Site
The Diamond Promotion Service relaunched dps.org on Nov. 1. The site was rebuilt to include new features to help retailers maximize diamond sales, just in time for the holiday season.
In addition to a new home page, dps.org features improved content, layout and product images, says the organization. Other new features include a site-search function, a DPS e-mail newsletter to which the trade can subscribe and a "Get News" section where retailers and manufacturers can find the latest diamond news and issues consumers might be reading about. "Get News" will also show the media where the Diamond Information Center has been placing diamonds and diamond content.
In time for the 2002 holiday season, dps.org includes a new section with including an overview of the Diamond Trading Co.'s fourth quarter advertising and marketing programs, including fancy-shape diamonds, three-stone diamond jewelry and diamonds that "make a statement" as well as free downloadable DPS marketing materials.
Dps.org continues to have a "Buy Materials" section where retailers can go in order to purchase materials such as marketing CD-Roms, ad slicks, in-case signs, billboards, occasion cards, TV commercials and diamond jewelry photography.
"In our goal of making the new dps.org a much more user-friendly site, manufacturers and retailers using the site to purchase DPS marketing and education materials can now place their orders online, as opposed to having to either print out and fax in the order or call in an order, as on our previous site," says Lynn Diamond, DPS executive director.
Retailers can more easily identify diamond jewelry featured in any of DTC's advertising or on www.adiamondisforever.com though a new "Find Advertised Jewelry" section. By entering a source code or locating the ad in which thejewelry appeared, retailers can find manufacturer information and contact details.
DPS.org uses the Tradelock password-protection system. Those with a Tradelock password can access dps.org, those without may register when entering dps.org for the first time or by going to tradelock.com.
