PGI-USA Plans Second Women With Heart Program
Platinum Guild International-USA's second annual Women With Heart celebrity pendant design program will again have celebrities design a platinum heart pendant to be auctioned on Sothebys.com in time for Valentine's Day, 2003, with the proceeds donated to a designated charity. Each celebrity's design will be created in conjunction with platinum jewelry designers.
Auction Preview Days will be Feb. 3-5 and Feb. 7 at Sotheby's in New York City and Beverly Hills, CA. On-line bidding will take place Feb. 1-10 at www.sothebys.com. For auction details and to view the platinum heart pendants, visit preciousplatinum.com.
The six celebrities designing heart pendants are Christina Applegate designing with Neil Lane, donating to the Center for the Advancement of Nonviolence; Brandy designing with Alex Soldier, donating to the United Negro College Fund; Gisele Bundchen designing with Gumuchian Fils, donating to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; Penelope Cruz designing with Verragio, donating to Caring for Children & Families with AIDS; Susan Sarandon designing with Scott Kay, donating to the Heifer Project; and Barbra Streisand designing with Michael Beaudry, donating to The Alzheimer's Association.
PGI-USA developed and sponsors the Platinum Women With Heart program as part of its ongoing campaign to build awareness for platinum.
