AGS Will Present Seminars at JCK Show

The American Gem Society is offering an educational track at the JCK Show-Las Vegas addressing the needs of the independent retailer consistent with the AGS perspective on ethical and educated retailing.

Presentations will include "Selling with 'Certs'" by Diane Flora, CGA, AGS Director of Education, which will offer strategies for using these documents as selling tools on May 29 at 9 a.m.; "Profitable Business Ideas for Independents from the JCK Advisory Panel" by Jennifer Heebner of JCK magazine, which will present information from the JCK Advisory Panel that focuses on the needs of independents on May 29 at 10:30 a.m.; "Managing Away Crisis in the Independent Business" by Kate Peterson, Performance Concepts, which will detail skill-building strategies to help manage away crisis on May 29 at 2 p.m.; and "Creating More Sales from your Existing Customer Base" by Len Zell which will look at expanding sales to existing customers by building relationships on May 29 at 3:30 p.m.

"By utilizing industry partnerships to provide quality education sessions, we are able to promote our educational standards throughout the industry," says Ruth Batson, executive director/CEO of AGS. "These sessions will further promote the credibility of the industry and gain the trust of the consumer."
