Ganz New IDMA President

The Israeli Diamond Manufacturers Association has elected Moti Ganz as incoming president. He replaces Uri Schwartz, who was elected president in 2001 after serving two previous terms as president. Schwartz will become honorary president and continue to serve on the executive board.

Ganz, a second-generation diamantaire, owns Moti Ganz Diamonds Ltd. His company owns the Elara brand diamond cut and is also a Diamond Trading Co. sightholder. Ganz has been active in IDMA since 1989 when he was elected to the executive board. In 2001-2002 he served as its deputy president.

Also elected were David de Toledo (deputy president) and Shlomo Yovel and Avner Haimov (vice presidents).

IDMA has a membership of 200 and represents about 93% of the total output of the Israel's diamond industry.
