ICA Gem Poster Contest Opens

Jewelers, gemcutters and enthusiasts are invited by the International Colored Gemstone Association to use their creativity to promote gemstones. The organization is taking entries for the third annual ICA poster competition that will promote the group's next congress, slated for Bangkok in 2005.

"For this third competition, we look forward to receiving hundreds of entries," said Yehuda Kassif of ICA. "For the competition held in Jaipur, we received some 80 entries, more than double of those entered in Sydney. For the Thai edition, we have begun soliciting much earlier, and we expect colored gemstone lovers with a knack for design to start working on their entries soonest."

According to ICA, posters should be colorful, must carry the ICA logo and the association's full name and its slogan,"Go Color.". All written information should be in English. ICA encourages designers to add a slogan in their own language to express the vast interest in colored gemstones worldwide.

In addition to receiving a monetary prize, the winners of the first, second and third place in the competition will recieve publicity in the international gem and jewelry trade media coordingated by the ICA GemBureau.

Competition rules are available upon request by e-mail at kassifus@yahoo.com or fax at (972-3) 575-2547, and will also be available on ICA's Web site (www.gemstone.org) in a few weeks, says ICA.
