WJA Calls for Entries for Scholarship Awards

The Women's Jewelry Association announces its 2005 Annual Student Scholarship program for female students enrolled in fine jewelry and watch design courses in the U.S. Scholarship awards start at $500 and are based on design renderings submitted by the students. The deadline for receipt of the application is May 2. "WJA is committed to encouraging talented students and helping their studies in fine jewelry and watch design," says Gillian Schultz, WJA's scholarship chair.

To qualify, a candidate must submit the following:
• WJA Scholarship Application form (found at www.womensjewelry.org).
• A short essay.
• Three slides of recent work.
• Two written references.
• A self-addressed protective envelope with correct postage for return of slides.

Scholarships recipients will be selected by a panel of judges from the jewelry industry. The winners will be announced by July 2005.
