West Coast Jewelry Show Sold Out

The West Coast Jewelry Show, the new event in Los Angeles, CA, Aug. 27-29, at the Westin Century Plaza Hotel & Spa, has sold out of exhibit space and a waiting list has been formed, according to show management. More than 200 designers and manufacturers will participate in the show. A complete exhibitor list is available on-line at www.westcoastjewelryshow.com.

"We are so pleased to have partnered with H2 Events in the creation of the West Coast Jewelry Show," says Rossana Aguilar, executive director of the California Jewelers Association, official show sponsor. "Our retail members are committed to support the show as attendees and buyers." Exhibitors will occupy all exhibit areas on the California level of the hotel. "We are thrilled with the quick and decisive exhibitor response," says Show Manager Judy Karlin-Grant.

Retail sales and management trainer Harry J. Friedman of the Friedman Group, Marina De Rey CA, will be the keynote speaker at the show's Holiday Boot Camp for Retail Jewelers conference, to take place on Sunday, Aug. 28 immediately before show hours. A continental breakfast will be served. "Harry is an incredible trainer and motivator of retail personnel and the timing couldn't be better for this kind of retail boot camp session," says Howard Hauben, president of H2 Events and WCJS.

Holiday Boot Camp will continue on Monday morning, Aug. 29, with speaker Diane Warga-Arias of the Diamond Promotion Service delivering a presentation on "Making Your In-Store Customer Experience Sizzle for Holiday 2005." This program will present tactics for creating a luxury shopping experience during the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Expert selling skills are not the only basics for increased holiday sales, the new competitive landscape requires jewelry retailers and associates to be mentally and physically prepared to deliver the exciting shopping experience that consumers are now craving.

"If your store brand stands for quality, then your customers will (and should) expect flawless personal service and an exciting shopping experience, no matter how busy you are," says Warga-Arias. "I will be the officer at this camp and will ensure that participants learn how to effectively manage increased holiday traffic, generate more holiday traffic and maximize every sales transaction...all while providing an exciting in-store experience that will enhance customer relationships and increase diamond sales!"
