Silberg and Horton Join Diamond Direct

Diamond Direct, the U.S. diamond jewelry division of Classic Diamonds (India) Ltd., a Diamond Trading Co. sightholder, announced two key appointments June 1. Joyce Horton was named vice president of merchandising and Sheryl Silberg is the new director of marketing.

Horton was previously with United Kingdom-base Signet's U.S. division, Sterling Jewelers, and its Jared The Galleria of Jewelry stores and is experienced in retail jewelry merchandising. Her work history also includes Marks & Morgan and Zale Corp.'s Gordon's Jewelers. She has worked behind the counter and as a buyer.

Sheryl Silberg comes from Diamond Promotion Service. She amassed knowledge of the diamond jewelry market during her tenure at DPS, as well as an understanding of the needs of retail jewelers and the ways to help them drive their diamond jewelry businesses, according to Diamond Direct.
