Prime Jewelry Group Plans Fall Traveling Shows
The Prime Jewelry Group set its schedule for the fourth annual series of invitation-only, traveling sales events for September and October 2005. The events will return to Houston, TX, on Sept. 12-13; Dearborn, MI, on Sept. 25-26; and Sarasota, FL, on Oct. 1-2. The northern Virginia show will relocate from Falls Church, VA, to the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner, VA, Oct. 16-17. Formed in 2002 by 30 leading jewelry manufacturers, the Prime Jewelry Group launched its alternative trade events to provide a convenient and secure business environment for customers and traveling jewelry salespeople.
"With these invitation-only events, Prime Jewelry Group provides jewelry retailers with a unique buying experience: luxurious hotels, personalized, one-on-one meetings with top jewelry manufacturers, incredible meals and, most importantly, a relaxed and secure environment for conducting business," said Carol Young, executive director, Southern Jewelry Travelers Association, organizers of the Prime Group.
These invitation-only traveling functions bring together 30 vendors in a luxury hotel ballroom for a two days. Select VIP retailers from the area are invited by Prime to attend these exclusive showings. As a part of the event, the retailers enjoy complimentary breakfast, lunch and on Sunday, a late afternoon cocktail reception on the show floor. In addition, retailers also receive a $100 gift certificate to use when they preregister, attend and open a new account with one of the Prime vendors.
"Building on the success of the last three years, Prime continues to create the perfect environment for conducting business for jewelry industry professionals," said Joe Carullo, president, Prime Jewelry Group. "And by pairing with the Michigan Jewelers Association in Dearborn and the Florida Jewelers Association in Sarasota, the retailers in these locations will have expanded opportunities to increase their industry knowledge and to develop new contacts as well."
Jewelry retailers who attended the 2004 events were impressed with what Prime had to offer. "It was a great opportunity to see vendors we were unable to see at market. We were able to see companies that we don't ordinarily see and find some new vendors as well. The show is very well organized, and because of its timing later in the season, it's not as high pressure. This show is more at ease, it's a different type of atmosphere than most shows." said Mark Parsons, Hogue's Jewelers, Houston, TX.
"Unlike at larger shows, I don't have to complete for the vendors' attention. I'm able to sit down with them for an hour to discuss business." says Tom Poe, Enumclaw, WA.
Vendors showcased in the PJG show are include: Alwand Vahan, Aurafin-Oro America, B&N, Breuning, Brokoe/Cristian Geneve, Candela, Chere Dori Inc, Color Craft, Dangler Studios, Dazzlers, Elma Gill, Frank Reubel Designs Inc., Galatea/Jewelry By Artist, Global Diamonds, Gottlieb & Sons, H. Weiss Co., The Henderson Collection by WLH Ltd., Hidalgo, Idaho Opal, Imperial, Jewel Trends, Jewels by Jack Inc., KC Designs, Kirchner Corp., Leddell International Inc., MWI Group, Mr. Baguette Ltd., Overnight Mountings and S&R Designs.
