Basel Upgrades Hall of Visions

The World Watch and Jewellery Show, BaselWorld 2006, is set for March 30-April 6, 2006. BaselWorld has made it possible for exhibitors to build multi-story exhibits for the first time in its upscale Hall of Visions (Hall 2.2). The newly upgraded Hall of Visions "First Avenue" will provide a "luxurious platform for the world's leading jewelry brands," according to a press statement.

Changes to the show's infrastructure were made in response to requests from exhibitors for a total revamp of the hall, said show management. It says it created this exclusive environment for the launch of new jewelry collections to reflect the premium status of the exhibiting brands. The hall will carry a unique interior design, said BaselWorld.

BaselWorld also reports that all its major watch brands will be back. "This continuity from exhibitors demonstrates how important BaselWorld is in providing a vital benchmark for the luxury goods industry," said Sylvie Ritter, show director. There's also a reportedly high level of demand from exhibitors in the jewelry sectors. "This demonstrates that our ongoing commitment to ensuring that the Show encapsulates every level and aspect of the world's jewelry industry in Basel, have proved successful," said Ritter.

Management expects more than 2,100 exhibitor companies and 90,000 visitors to attend in 2006. For more information go to www.baselworld.com or e-mail visitor@baselworld.com.
