Gotcha!
UNITED KINGDOM - A man who stole a diamond ring worth £8,000 ($15,000) from a jewelry store in Birmingham, U.K., was caught just an hour later when he tried to resell it to another local store owned by the same company.
The 40-year-old Birmingham resident had posed as a buyer when he made off with the ring. An hour later he walked into the second shop with a female accomplice and tried to resell it. However, the ring was an exclusive item that was easily recognized by an employee, who pretended to take the ring into a back room for valuation and authentication but instead summoned the police, who promptly arrested the slow-witted thief. - from the Antwerp Facets News Service (AFNS)
